St. Charles Youth Choir practices have begun, and they are great! If your child wants to make a joyful noise and sing to the Lord, please call Chris Marze, 727-1249, or 727-2882 (evenings). Practice is every Wednesday, from 7:15-8:15 p.m. Openings are still available! Our first Mass to sing at will be Sunday, Sept. 8, at 11:30 a.m.

Les Chanteurs Acadiens du Texas, the Cajun choir, will sing at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Adult Choir Weekly Commitments: Thursday Rehearsals: 6:00-8:00 p.m. & Arrive 30 minutes before Mass.

Youth Choir: August 15-End of School Year

Wednesdays after CCD 7:15-8:15; every first Sunday of the month at 11:30 Mass; warm-up at 11:00 a.m.

Other events for Youth/Children's Choir:

Christmas Program Dec. 16, 7:00 p.m.; warm-up 6:30 p.m.;

Christmas Eve Mass 6:00 p.m.; warm-up 5:30 p.m.

Ash Wednesday we sing in Parish Center for youth, as well as 1st Holy Communion Mass the week after Easter.

All youth from 2nd-7th grade are invited to join.

Complements the Liturgy and encourages participation of the congregation
(A good singing voice. Familiarity with routine songs would be helpful, since we practice only on Saturdays before Mass.)

Youth
Involves our young people in the celebration of Mass by giving their talent of voice to their church.
(2nd-7th graders; practice once a week for 1 hour, and participate at Youth Mass [11:30 a.m.].
Be at the Mass 30 minutes early to warm up.)
